This year's haunt was one of the best haunts we have done. I credit a lot of it to the new volunteers we had this year. They brought some new blood to our haunt. We had some new guides this year , and they did a fantastic job, even though they were shaking the first trip through too. I owe a special thanks to all the volunteers, because it is impossible to have the haunt without them. We had a larger graveyard this year, with better lighting to make the tombstones glow, and more fog surrounding the graves. We added a maze and a new room to our haunt, along with better sound and sound effects.
come on let's go through
When you walk up to the front of the house, you start to get a chill. The front of the house is lit by torches in the yard. You notice the house has a eerie red glow, and who is that staring at me from the balcony. Several people, young and old are lined up to get candy- this must be the treat part, but you are starting to worry about the trick. Then you see creatures lurking in the dark, and things moving in the fog rolling out of the graveyard. When you get your candy, a gorilla tries to take it from you, but the witches scare him off. Now you have to decide, do I go on or run. A guide coaches you on, telling you not to worry it will be okay. After a creepy stroll past the crypt keeper and his friends in the cemetery, you come to our first building. Feel brave, several guests didn't make it this far. As the door opens, it pulls the fog out and it dares you to come in. There is a strobe light in the room, but the fog is so thick you can not see. You start to hear screams, and you can't see the person you went in with. Zombies are everywhere and you just want to find the door. You hear your guide calling you and you follow her voice. If you make it out, you see a line of torches to the next building, but watch out because in the open a monster can come out of nowhere. The guide tells everyone to stick together. Now you enter a dark maze, with a flickering red glow. The flashes of light only revels evil clowns and dead ends, you start to panic because you can't find the way out and you don't want to ask the devil for help! Then the guide comes and rescues you, she found the way out. It's a door, but where does it lead? Oh great, another dark room, the guide leads you in and then all of a sudden, your blinded by bright headlights and you jump out of your pants when the air horn blows and you realize it's a Truck, coming straight for you! The guide saves you again, and shows you out. Now you have a little walk to the last building, but you are starting not to trust your guide anymore. You only have one more stop says the guide, and it's only a quite barn. As you walk in you see a little fog and a wagon with hay bales around, but the music is a little disturbing. Then the chainsaws start up, and you want to run but you are surrounded. Something has got to give, you're about to make your own door. You find the way out, and you are exhausted. The guide points past the old jailhouse, and tells you that's the way out. As you walk up to the jailhouse, you're not sure, because it looks scary, but you can see the exit so you go for it. Just to make sure you make it out, Jason comes from the darkness and chases you down the driveway. Hey, you made it, but what about next year? See ya then. click thumbnails for larger pictures |
